Greener Negros

The University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos joins the celebration of the 30th Provincial Environment Month and the Localized Environment Week Celebration in the 31 Cities and Municipalities of Negros.

The Provincial Environment Management Office (PEMO) held an Online Youth Environment Forum participated by 8 schools last June 6 with the Theme “Only One Earth”.

The PEMO and Social Action Center of the Diocese of Bacolod invited twelve students from the University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos including five AgRecoletos students to attend the forum namely; James Patrick Laporno, Guia May Nierves, Chriza Ebano, Alvin Balgomera and Trisha Marie Ong.

This year marks the 50th year since the United Nations Conference was held which led to the creation of UNEP and designation of June 5 as World Environment Day.
