Glenn Navarra Baticados is known as a Professor and Entrepreneur. He is a passionate advocate of S&T enabled agripreneurship and inclusive agribusiness development. He firmly believes that the key to rural poverty alleviation and farming community empowerment is to build a nation of progressive rural entrepreneurs.

He has more than 15 years of experience in business, value chain development, enterprise development and management, and entrepreneurial training with particular focus on MSMEs. Since 2009, he has been involved in community enterprise development and agribusiness value chain development linking small and big businesses in the country. Together with his late partner, they pioneered the backyard broiler contract growing enterprise for the small farmers in Luzon called Manok Mabuhay.

He was appointed as the Director of the UPLB Center for Technology Transfer and Entrepreneurship of the University of the Philippines Los Banos in 2015 managing the University’s Intellectual Properties, technology commercialization, technology business incubation, and the UPLB Special Economics Zones. He recently became a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering under the Leaders in Innovation Fellowship in the UK and in the Philippines.

Mr. Baticados is also an experienced teacher and mentor. He has developed and taught business and en- trepreneurship program and courses in several top Philippine universities. He has been an Angelpreneur since 2008 of the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship Foundation, Inc. (GONEGOSYO). He is also a Mentor of the Building Entrepreneurs through Advisory and Mentoring Services (BEAMS) Program of the Department of Trade and Industry nurturing cooperatives and rehabilitating and managing shared service production and processing facilities in CALABARZON. He is a well-sought speaker on entrepreneurship and seasoned consultant on enterprise development and value chain management for the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization, International Labor Organization, Heifer International, Philippine Carabao Center, PCAARRD-DOST Bamboo Network, Brother Philippines, DENR Forestry Management Bureau, DTI, PS-DBM, DA, and several LGUs.

Mr. Baticados has a Masters degree in Business Management from the University of the Philippines Los Baños, a graduate of the Asian Institute of Management executive program on S&T Entrepreneurship Program, and a Lifelong Scholar of Michigan State University. He graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness Management from UP Los Baños. Married to a passionate mompreneur with two lovely kids, he is currently based in Laguna, Philippines.
